Ricky,
This is a really remarkable journal, and you’ll cherish it and the experiences in the future. Keep at it, lest you forget things.
I feel like I’ve never done anything comparable, and I guess I haven’t. It depresses me a bit, but it’s fun to share it vicariously.
We’re having a nice weekend with Ben, Marcella, Campbell and 6 month old Harper, and of course Mom.
We’re off to Palm Springs on Saturday for two weeks. Now that I see what you’re doing, I’m planning all kinds of adventurous outings. If I can only get anyone else to join me- your brother usually prefers poolside!
My love to you,
Michael
Great Pics, keep ’em coming. Have you thought of some good soundtrack music to accompany them? “Long And Winding Road” “On The Road Again” “Pushbike Song”, “Route 66″, ” Road To Hell” ……well forget that last one. By the time you’ve added another 100 pics you’ll need a good few more. Perhaps a Top Pop 10 each week for the rest of the journey? I’m sure a DJ out there can sort or even that Wizz Swiss DJ from Basel could get on the case…..!!!!
Very nice pics Rick!! Thanks a bunch for sharing with us. Me and my kids are becoming “Ricks Fan #1” (as they say it). They are 14 years old boy HS freshaman and 12 years old girl in 7the grade.
hello Rick, I will have lunch today with my friend and colleague of nadia el-hakim who told me about your experience. So great! I cycle from time to time, dreaming of such a journey.
Félicitations et bon courage pour la suite.
